For 7 years a linocutter, 5 linoplates and a paint roller plod along in my closet . 2 years ago I bought black colour for priting but have not yet dared approach me . Last week it was ready . My first portrait in linocut . The theme, an artist who makes wonderful linocuts . I carved and created an unholy mess at my workplace . Then it was time. The pressure ... I was totally excited . But how should I press the paper onto the lino . I had no printing press. School youtube advised to use a cooking spoon. And to evenly distribute the paint on the roller , I used a plain placemat  in the kitchen the previous owner of our apartment had left in the kitchen. Motif creepy, but super as a base. I squeezed paint onto the set and rolled the ink roller evenly crosswise over it. Then I inked the lino . I had the brilliant idea . A rolling pin for baking. I was able to apply enough pressure. I put the linocut on paper and rolled with the rolling pin over it. So I made 5 prints. Exciting was the removal of the paper. An exciting thing - doing linocut printings . Following the result ... tata !
